BMW i8 Concept

Hey guys! So the other day I was visiting Chicago, and believe it or not, I saw the 2014 BMW i8 Concept! It was gorgeous! So I thought about it…and I realized that I don’t really know much about the BMW i8! So I looked up some information and specs about this amazing car, and it was quite surprising!

So the 2014 BMW i8 Concept. One sentence? The most progressive and innovative sports car of its time.

Its plug-in hybrid concept combines the electric drive system from the BMW i3 Concept with a high-performance three-cylinder engine that has 220 hp and 300 Nm at the rear. At first, it didn’t sound so good. I mean, 3 cylinder engine? But the more and more I read about this car, the better it got! This perfect combination of a combustion engine and an electric drive system makes this car’s personality awesome! Think about it! It delivers the performance of a sports car, and has an mpg about the same as a matchbox! (about 3 L/100 km which is 94 mpg!) It goes from naught to a hundred in under 5 seconds, and it has a top speed of 250 km/h! Okay, bad things: you can only go 35 km before running out of electricity, but thanks to its combustion engine you can travel more with regular gas.It will cost about $350,000-$400,000 once BMW think that you are qualified to own one. Oh, and it does have 4 seats, but I don’t think you can actually use those, unless your children are legless…All of this makes this car an excellent everyday car for a couple. It’s extremely dynamic (thanks to its amazing hybrid engine and low center of gravity), has the best mpg of any sports car, and it has 4 seats and a relatively small trunk which could be used to keep shopping goods. Or a medium sized lamb.

Okay, I think I gave you all the information that you need to fall in love with this car. If it’s not enough, take a look at these pictures 😀

And again, I’m interested in all of your opinions! So please comment and tell me what you guys think of this beauty…

These are some pictures I took in Chicago. They’re not the best, but it’s enough proof 🙂
