Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S

Hello everyone! If you love cars, you probably got this question from someone: “If you had one car to buy, which car would it be?” I’ve been thinking about this question a lot, and I found the answer in September 2007. When Maserati reveiled the GT S version of the Quattroporte! If I would choose one car, it would be this one. It’s perfect in every single way. This car has a combination of tons of space, comfortable luxury, beautiful design, enormous power, and Italian passion. How can you argue with that? 😉

The Quattroporte has a long history, which starts in 1963 when the Quattroporte I came out.Of course, everything changed in the Italian saloon since then. Maserati, however, didn’t change one thing since the 1960s; and that was the purpose of the Quattroporte. The first Quattroporte in 1963 had a 4.1 L V8 producing 256 bhp and could easily do 200 km/h. This is why the Quattroporte could be said to be the first car that was purpose built for grand touring. Since the first Quattroporte, Maserati kept perfecting the beauty of this incredible piece of engineering.

The 2004 Quattroporte V became the perfect car that replaced even the Audi A8. A perfect car for businessmen who had children by any chance. At this point, I think that the Quattroporte V is very good car, but it was a bit low on…fun. And that’s perfectly understandable! Since the Quattroporte isn’t a sports car; it’s a luxurious saloon for grand touring. BUT! In 2007 Maserati introduced a pumped up, louder, and more exciting Quattroporte. The GT S.

The base Quattroporte V has a 4.2L V8 with 6-speed transmission and RWD developing 400 horsepowers. It can go from 0 to 100 in 5.5 seconds, and has a top speed of 265 km/h.

The Maserati Quattrporte GT S has a 4.7L V8 with the same transmission and RWD.The GT S has 433 bhp and can go from 0 to 100 in 5.3 seconds up to 185 km/h. Its fitted with a sport suspension, 20 inch wheels, and larger rear tires for better handling. The brakes received iron and aluminum rotors for more fade resistance. This doesn’t sound like much of a difference…until we get to the traction control. You see, they perfected the traction control, which means it’s still there, but it let’s you go wild without killing yourself! 😀 All this combined, makes this car incredibly tail-happy, extremely responsive, and dynamic. In a word: FUN.

This is why I’d rather choose this car over the A8 or the 7-series BMW, and that’s the reason why this is one of my favorite cars.
